Our Lady of Guadalupe. In 1531, Mary appeared to Juan Diego in what is now Mexico City. She left a miraculous image of herself on the robe (tilma) he was wearing, which survives to this day and can be seen in the magnificent basilica in Mexico City, which is visited by 20 million pilgrims per year. Scientists are unable to explain the image or how it got there. The medal is a reproduction of the image on the tilma (Mexico) (December 12th).
Our Lady of Lourdes In 1858 the Virgin Mary appeared to St. Bernadette Soubirous. On March 25 Mary told Bernadette "I am the Immaculate Conception". The Shrine today is visited by millions and is the source of a miraculous spring of water. The scene of the apparition is depicted on the medal. Bodily Ills (February 11th)
Our Lady of Fatima In 1917, the Virgin Mary appeared on six consecutive months to three children; Lucia , Francisco, and Jacinta. At the last appearance on October 13th, in front of 70,000 people, she worked the great miracle of the sun, saying on that day, " I am the Lady of the Rosary."
Scapular Medal. In 1251, the Virgin Mary appeared to St. Simon Stock and told him "Whosoever dies clothed in this (scapular) shall not suffer eternal fire." On the back of the medal is a picture of the Sacred heart (normally required if a medal is to be considered a Scapular medal).

Engraving
Most of our religious medals can be engraved. We recommend using slant font if you have a lot to engrave. We take great care with each engraving. Text is centered, enlarged, and reduced until it is just right. More can be engraved on round medals than on an oval medal.

Our religious medals crosses crucifixes and symbols are of the highest quality from the largest religious manufacturers with most of them falling into the 'fine' classification.
Medal Size & Shape
We have found that ladies generally prefer oval medals and while men tend to prefer round medals.
20 Inch Sterling Chain
Many of our religious come on a fine 20 inch sterling chain. If you prefer an 18 inch sterling chain instead please state that in the comment section at checkout. Both chains are identical with end caps and lobster claws. The only difference is the length.
25 and 26 inch endless Sterling Chains
Many of our product descriptions state that it comes with a 25 inch endless chain which is a
2.9mm chain plus our new 26 inch endless sterling chain

Dime & our sterling ruler
Please use the dime in the image or the sterling ruler for size comparison. A dime is 17.5m, 11/16 inch. Also, one inch is 25m. 12m is about 1/2 of an inch. We have recently begun photoshooting our religious medals with a one inch sterling silver ruler which we made. We can make 18 guage sterling tags of any rectangular size from 1/4 by one to to one inch to 2 inches.

All the major religious medals manufacturers put a coat of clear varnish on their medals
to prevent tarnishing. This coating will eventually wear off with use and will no longer be needed.
Wearing sterling medals keeps them bright and shinny.
